I realised that in no matter what we do
We will always have a choice
ALWAYS.
Even in situations that concern life and death
For example, if someone says, “tell me everything you know about xyz or I’ll kill ya”
In this case, you have two choices, betray xyz
OR
Die.
In cases like this, most people would say, “I didn’t have a choice,” then betray xyz and continue to live their pathetic lives not knowing if xyz would be affected.
And in worse cases, putting the blame on someone when consequences bear down on you for the choice YOU made.
For example,
ABC decided to talk to a guy. ABC talked to him very frequently even knowing that she would have to bear the consequences in the end. Then one day, the guy passed a remark on how it would be better if she were his gf. ABC freaked out and pushed the blame onto her bestfriend, all because her bestfriend had dropped a sarcastic remark on how since the guy ‘loved’ her so much he could just go woo her.
The consequences of her actions were insistently blamed on someone else.
Sad isn’t it?
Anyway, continuing
ABC’s bestfriend was very sad and hurt because of this. But the thing that made her the most sad was the fact that the guy was her ex and ABC liked to go on and on about the guy. ABC’s tactlessness may have been forgiven easily but the fact that this was a second time already made it hard to forgive.
